🏫 Eurécole News
🍰🎃 Halloween Bake Sale with Eurécape 👻🧹🦇
We’d like to start with a big thank you to Eurécape, our parent association, which organizes many wonderful activities throughout the year to enrich school life.
Their first event of the year, the Halloween Bake Sale, helped fund the Halloween pot-decorating workshop for children in preschool and primary school.
✨ These great initiatives are made possible thanks to your support! It’s not too late to join the association and contribute: members also receive the Yearbook for free!

🎒 Life at the Middle School: Projects & Integration Week
🗳️ The Student Council (BDE) and Halloween 🎃
The Middle School Student Council has elected its new members for the 2025–2026 school year! Our motivated students have already started planning projects to make school life even more dynamic and strengthen team spirit.
“We already have lots of fun activities planned to make this year great! For Halloween, for example, we organized a bake sale and a costume contest.” – Léon, Student Council President.

🏕️ Integration Week at Château de Grande Romaine
Integration Week was a wonderful opportunity for students to get to know each other and build friendships from the very start.
At Château de Grande Romaine, they took part in a range of exciting activities:
🏹 Archery
🌲 Tree climbing (accrobranche)
⛳ Golf
♟️ Chess
🥏 Discgolf (Frisbee)
🏉 Rugby
🏛️ Visit to the Mineral Museum
🏗️ Rubber band–powered car design challenge – students imagined, built, and raced their own creations!
Throughout the week, energy, laughter, and teamwork were in full swing: a memorable start to a promising school year.

🤸♀️ Sports & Well-Being at Primary School
This year’s educational theme, “Student Well-being at the Heart of Learning” inspired many new workshops and activities designed to support students’ growth and happiness every day.
🌿 Well-being Workshops
We had the pleasure of welcoming Clémentine Drach — Eurécole parent, nurse, and naturopath — along with her colleague Nathalie Morisseau. Together, they led three workshops for CP to CM2 classes over three weeks. Through these sessions, children:
🤗 Learned to recognize and express their emotions in playful ways
🌬️ Understood what stress is and practiced breathing exercises to manage it
😴 Explored the importance of sleep for well-being and concentration
Each activity was designed to be both educational and fun, helping children gain practical tools to live better with themselves and others. All the details of these activities can be found in our dedicated article:

📅 After the All Saints’ break, two parent sessions led by Clémentine and Nathalie will take place on Tuesday, November 4, and Thursday, November 6, 2025. Parents will have the chance to learn more about the workshops and how to support their children’s emotional well-being at home.
🎽 Sports Week
Sports Week was a wonderful moment of discovery and fun for the children! They got to try out a variety of sports, including:
🧗♂️ Climbing
💃 Breakdance
🤸♀️ Trampoline
🎪 Circus arts
Each sport encouraged teamwork, self-confidence, and perseverance — and the smiles at the end of the week said it all!

🌎 Languages & Cultural Discoveries
🇩🇪 German: Unity Day & Puppet Show
Our CE2 to CM2 students celebrated German Unity Day on October 3rd with cultural and educational activities.

🎭 They also enjoyed the puppet show “Das schönste Blumenbeet” performed by the Puppentheater Rozalia from Berlin. The play tied beautifully into this year’s school theme, exploring communication and emotional awareness through imagination and theater.

🇪🇸 Spanish : Discovering Peru and Quechua
Our students explored Peruvian culture thanks to a Eurécole parent who shared the history, traditions, and customs of her country.
They also took part in a Quechua initiation workshop led by the association Watuchi, where they learned words, tried traditional instruments, and discovered the richness of this ancient culture.

🇬🇧 English : Sciences, Wednesday Workshops & Archaeology Day
🔬 Science in English
Students explored science in a fun and hands-on way! From the candle and water experiment to air pressure fountains and apple oxidation tests, they observed fascinating phenomena while practicing English.

🖌️ Wednesday Workshops
Wednesday workshops immersed children in the world of Vikings — building ships and crafting helmets to set off on adventures!
📣 There are still a few spots available!
🏺 Archaeology Day
During Archaeology Day, students of all ages discovered the fascinating world of archaeology through excavations, games, and creative activities like painting on pots and vases.
The workshop was led by the English team with Miss Ivanova, an Eurécole teacher with a background in archaeology, making the experience even more engaging for everyone.

🎨 Primary School Life: Creativity & Team Spirit
🧩 Kapla Day
From MS to CM2, students took part in a day full of imagination and construction. They built incredible structures, from giant dragons to towering castles, developing creativity, patience, and teamwork.

✍️ The ELA Dictation Challenge
Our CE1 students participated in the Grande Dictée ELA, part of the association’s 30th anniversary campaign to support research against leukodystrophies.
Between spelling, focus, and solidarity, it was a meaningful experience for all. The dictation was read by Pascal Gentil, former world taekwondo champion — an unforgettable moment!
Later this year, they’ll take part in the ELA Charity Run to continue supporting the cause.
