At our international school in Paris, sports are much more than just physical activity—they are a cornerstone of our pedagogy, on par with language learning and cultural enrichment. We place physical education at the heart of our curriculum to support each student’s development, foster teamwork, perseverance, respect for rules, and a love of effort.
A Dedicated and Structured Approach
Two full-time physical education teachers deliver sports instruction across our two campuses (primary and middle school). This well-organized structure ensures a consistent and progressive program tailored to the age and abilities of every student.
In the primary school, preschoolers have access to an on-site gymnasium, allowing them to explore physical activity from an early age through motor skills circuits, dance, and group games.
Elementary students practice sports in outdoor facilities such as stadiums and basketball or football fields, offering a setting adapted to more dynamic and varied activities.

Sports Week: Explore, Try, Have Fun
Every year, Eurécole hosts a Sports Week for primary students to introduce them to less familiar sports and activities. This year, students explored surfing, circus arts, and climbing in a fun, inclusive, and educational setting. The week wrapped up with a joint skating trip with the middle schoolers, strengthening connections between the two school cycles.
These special moments are designed to develop motor skills, self-confidence, adaptability, and team spirit, all while enjoying a wide variety of enriching sports experiences.

A Ski Trip in the Mountains for the Middle School Students
Our middle schoolers went on a week-long ski trip that combined physical challenge with the discovery of the mountain environment. Guided by our educational team, they experienced winter sports, pushed their physical limits, and shared meaningful moments of teamwork in a stunning natural setting.

The Olympic Mornings: A Highlight of the Year
The annual Olympic Mornings at Eurécole, held at the end of the school year, are a much-anticipated event for our educational community. Students are divided into teams representing different countries and compete in various sporting challenges in a festive, joyful, and inclusive atmosphere.
Thanks to the dedication of our teachers, the energy of DJ Lucky, and the enthusiastic involvement of families, these days are always a great success. They offer students a chance to put into practice the core values of sport—while having fun.

Enriching Sports Encounters Throughout the Year
Throughout the school year, students had the opportunity to discover new and exciting sports through unique encounters:
– Chanbara: All primary students, from CP to CM2, were introduced to this Japanese martial art by Alain, our sports teacher and two-time world champion.
– Fencing: Following an in-class introduction by professionals from the French Fencing Federation, students attended the Men’s Foil World Cup in Paris.
– American Football: During “American Football Day,” organized by our English teachers, students discovered the rules and techniques of the sport in a fun, bilingual environment.
– Colpbol: At the end of the year, students from a Spanish school in Valencia visited Eurécole as part of an Erasmus exchange. During the week, our CM2, 6e, and 5e students discovered Colpbol, a ball game invented by a Valencian PE teacher.

By promoting a wide variety of physical activities and encouraging active student participation, our international school in Paris makes sport a powerful driver of both personal and collective growth.
