🇪🇸 A Year of Spanish Immersion at an International School in Paris
At Eurécole, a private international school in Paris, Spanish language learning is built around a dynamic, culturally rich, and immersive approach. From preschool through middle school, students engaged with the Spanish language through hands-on projects, artistic activities, and intercultural experiences throughout the 2025–2026 school year.
One of the highlights of the year was a paella workshop, which introduced students to Spanish culture through gastronomy in a warm and engaging atmosphere.
Students also took part in theatre workshops bringing together primary and middle school classes, encouraging oral expression, public speaking, and confidence in Spanish through creative and collaborative activities.
The celebration of Día de los Muertos provided an immersion into one of the most iconic traditions of the Spanish-speaking world, allowing students to discover its symbols and cultural significance.
🌎 Eurécole’s international outlook was further strengthened through projects developed in collaboration with several Latin American embassies:
- The Embassy of Peru introduced students to the Quechua language and its cultural and historical importance.
- The Embassy of Guatemala presented the tradition of giant kites, known as barriletes.
- The Embassy of Chile organized a traditional dance workshop, offering students an artistic and cultural immersion.
- The Embassy of Panama introduced students to Panamanian stories and literature through the exploration of local authors and traditional tales.
Students also visited the Maison de l’Amérique latine for an exhibition on gold organized by the Embassy of Colombia, an enriching experience combining history, culture, and heritage.
Finally, students discovered the work of a Spanish author and her books, providing an opportunity to explore Hispanic literature and deepen their connection with the language through reading.
Through these diverse projects, students at our international school in Paris strengthened their Spanish language skills, developed their cultural curiosity, and broadened their global perspective.
